Apple has kicked off the year with a new product announcement for 2021.


The event is an hour-long, but if you don’t have the time to watch, read below as I’ll give you a quick rundown of the announcements.

Apple Card

Apple is allowing couples that are using Apple Card to share and merge their credit lines allowing the couples to both build credit equally.

Apple Card is now available for families with kids over the age of 13. You can set up spending limits, so your kid doesn’t overspend. This service is called Apple Card Family.

Apple Podcast

Apple Podcast application is getting a Facelift, with a new feature called “channels” allowing you to find new shows from your favourite creators.

Apple announced Apple Podcast Subscriptions, which enables you to access new content. ad-free listening, early access and more. This will be available next month.

Apple iPhone

The iPhone 12 is getting a makeover, now available in purple and will be released on April 30th.

Apple AirTag

The long-awaited AirTags has been announced, allowing you to use the Find My app to find your keys, or whatever object the tag is attached to.

A 1 pack is $45 AUD and a 4 pack will set you back $149 AUD.

Apple TV/Apple TV Plus

Apple dropped the new trailer for Ted Lasso Season 2, and will be availalbe in July.

Apple TV 4K will be utilising the A12 bionic chip, allowing for HDR playback and high framework.

Apple iMac

The new iMac has been announced, utilising their new M1 chip. It will be available in a variety of colours. The device will be 24″ with a resolution of 4480×2520 with a 4.5K Retina display.

The iMac will support spatial audio, with 6 speaker setup.

Apple iPad Pro

The new Apple iPad Pro will also be utilising Apple’s new M1 chip, giving it better performance and power efficiency and support for Thunderbolt.

It now supports Playstation and Xbox controllers for gaming.

And like the rumors, the new iPad Pro will be utilisng Mini-LEDs.

Annnnddd that pretty much sums up the event. I am really intersted in the Apple AirTags and will definitley be picking one up, so stay tuned for my review.
